I am Vandana Naik, an architect by profession and an artist driven by my passion. I graduated from Goa College of Architecture in 2004. I enjoy being able to involve myself in the world of art and architecture.
Art and architecture are inseparable and the urge of exploring space in its different settings both natural and artificial has been the most motivating factor. My initial works have been highly inspired by spaces, patterns from nature and graphical representations. In the recent past my works are highly influenced by nature and day to day life experiences.
Early guidance by Selma, Ramesh Bandekar and Apurva Kulkarni kept me grounded and helped a great deal throughout this artistic journey. This artistic inclination was further nurtured by renowned artist, M. G. Doddamani. Working under his guidance allowed me to explore new mediums and a have a wider perspective to express my thoughts on canvas.
