20 portraits of virtual people from the social web Instagram Instagram accounts participation A part of “Très” exhibition I am intrigued by the contemporary digital technologies and ways of communication.The establishment of virtual reality as a second dimension of social interaction opens a new dialogue for me regarding the visual representation and the interrelations between the physical and the digital. Social networks and internet communications enable us to meet people from around the globe. Their existence (in an actual virtual meeting) is demonstrated only through technological devices. The result is an intertwining of realities. It is possible to know someone through a digitally transmitted information, never having met them in the physical world. The idea that we are completely convinced in the virtual reality makes it so very efficient. We can realistically separate our life into two dimensions. Questioning the connection between real and virtual I looked into Instagram accounts of people (mostly artists) whom I have followed online, and tried to depict the ones I most strongly desire to meet, knowing well, that most likely I wold not encounter most of them through my entire life.

Trendafila Trendafilova - Persefi Eskes was born on 11.16.1989.For a short period of her development way of live, she has studied architecture, but the desire to deploy more inspiration and freedom of expression means, led her to painting and visual arts. Experimental - synth music and poetry are also some of her expressions dedicated to her art. Trendafila's work is a depiction of her artistic transformation, an experimental self-expression through color, line and form, inspired by the presence of surrounding objects and humans. Colors and shapes are muscular and seem to explode from the canvas’ natural borders, all in a bi-dimensional representation that flattens reality down into a postcard of emotions. Their emotional reflection, in combination with the space of the here and now, the minimalism of time, explores a longing for experimentation and deformation of consciousness, color and vibration. Future projects will be a discovery-interpretation combining these three basic directions in her work. For now lives and works in city Sofia, Bulgaria.
