Emre Aksu, eserlerinde ontoloji ve mitoloji temalarını yeniden inceleyen ve bunları çağdaş sosyolojiyle harmanlayan çağdaş bir Türk heykeltıraştır. Lisans eğitimini Heykel Sanatı bölümünde tamamlamış ve 2014 yılında ilk grup sergisini açmıştır. Emre, sanat tarihi ve tarihsel izlerden ilham alarak, insan varoluşu kavramını farklı coğrafyalarda araştırır ve modern bir sosyolojik mercekle yeniden yorumlar.
Heykelleri mermer, metal, alüminyum, tel, ahşap ve strafor gibi çeşitli malzemeler kullanır ve gerçekçi formlardan soyut formlara kadar uzanır. Emre, kullandığı malzemelerin sertliği veya hafifliğiyle oynayarak form ve içeriği ustaca dengeler.
Emre, kariyeri boyunca usta heykeltıraşların asistanı olarak çalıştı ve Prof. Rahmi Atalay'ın "Su Efsaneleri" ve Mehmet Aksoy'un "Özgecan Aslan Anıtı" ve "X Pozu" mermer projeleri gibi önemli sergilere katıldı. 2017'de Heykel Güzel Sanatlar alanında yüksek lisans yaptı ve tezini sanat ve politika arasındaki ilişkiye odakladı.
Emre, dokuz yıl boyunca sanat yönetmeni, set tasarımcısı ve sahne ressamı gibi çeşitli rollerde film endüstrisinde çalışırken İstanbul'daki prodüksiyonuna devam etti. 2023'te Brüksel'e taşındı ve burada heykel çalışmalarına devam ediyor ve Avrupa genelinde sergilere katılarak uluslararası platformlardaki varlığını genişletiyor.
