Je suis né le 16 avril 1961 à Boulogne-sur-Mer dans le Pas-de-Calais où j'ai passé une partie de mon enfance jusqu'en juin 1973, période à laquelle je suis arrivé en Normandie dans l'Eure. Très jeune, j'aimais déjà griffonner des feuilles de papier.
De 1984 à 1988 j'ai suivi les cours du soir à l'école des Beaux-Arts de Rouen, les deux premières années en cours de Dessin et les deux suivantes en cours de Peinture. C’est durant ces deux premières années de dessin que j’ai découvert la technique du pastel sec que je pratique à 90 % depuis.
Mes thèmes de prédilection sont axés principalement sur la beauté, les couleurs et la féérie de la nature. Je suis donc un pastelliste paysagiste réaliste et l’on me dit quelquefois impressionniste.
Je travaille souvent en atelier d’après les clichés que j’ai l’occasion de prendre lors de balades dans la nature car l’humidité est le pire ennemi du pastel sec. Lorsque la météo est favorable, c’est un véritable bonheur pour moi de planter mon chevalet dans la nature accompagné du mélodieux chant des oiseaux, du bruit du ruissellement de l’eau d’une rivière ou simplement du vent dans les arbres.
