"This ceramic sculpture is from my series of couple-family theme. The gentle movement from 2D to 3D expresses the dance of life from the past to the present and then to the future. I bent a single natural fayance slab into this form and coloured it with oxides. From one viewpoint the couple’s families they were born in are dominant. The home where the couple came from are represented as two houses with big human profiles, window-eyes of different shapes and arched roof-like forehead. The lacy motifs of DNA and Tree of Life waving upwards between them symbolize their connection and the genetic continuity. From the opposite viewpoint the couple is prominent. Their bodies’ contours are the two families’ big profiles. The members of the couple are looking at each other below the sun and the symbols of continuity and future appear again between them."

The unique point in the art of Tovolgyi, is that she is always coming up with something new. She is always looking for new techniques and she likes to do new experiments. That allows her to transform one creative style into another. She is able to renew her work time after time both the techniques and ideas. If someone happens to know just one period and style of her works, he/she may not be able to match her name with another artwork from one of her other art periods. There are only few versatile artists, such as Tovolgyi. Unlimited creativity and the combination of several high quality techniques are found in her artworks.
