Tony Ignatov

TODOR VLADIMIROV IGNATOV was born on 11 February, 1951.
Mr. Ignatov finished the Sofia High School of Fine Arts in 1970. He also graduated from the Sofia Academy of Fine Arts in 1976. In 1977 he was appointed a head stage designer in ‘Stoyan Bachvarov’ Theater of Dramatic Arts – Varna.
He works in the sphere of fine and applied arts.
From 1995 until 1999 he has been a member of the board of managers of the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) – Sofia.
Since 1999 Mr. Ignatov has been chairman of the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) – Varna.

In 2000, Mr. Ignatov was included in the ‘Who’s Who In The Art of 20th Century’ Encyclopedia, published by the ‘International Biographical Center’, Cambridge, England.
He was awarded with two of the most prestigeous of the town of Varna, Bulgaria, for exceptional achievements in the fields of the Culture and Theatre.
Toni Ignatov works also in the fields of Architecture, Interior Design, Plastic arts.
He is a Member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) – Sofia since 1977.
He was in the Board of managers of the “Stage Design Section” of UBA (1985 – 1997).
He has been a Member of the Board of managers of the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) – Sofia (1995-1999) and a Chairman of the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) – Varna (1999-2005).

The National Art Gallery, the National Museum of Applied Arts and Varna’s Museum possess his oil paintings, scale models, costume design paintings.
His oil painting ‘NANA’ was sold in the auction of ‘DRUOT” – Paris, France (1991).
In 1992 he made excellent performances with his paintings in ‘Red Square Gallery’ – London, ‘Chita Di Lonido’ – Italy and in Strasbourg, France – 1993.
