Early XX century. The birth of aviation. The rush to the skies beyond the clouds. Flight, speed and imagination. Dreams and their fulfillment. Poetry and engineering in light and in darkness.

Under the influence and enthusiasm of artists, architects, and designers of the first half of the XX century, the machine soared beyond the clouds
Lighted wall art.
The work is made of cardboard, MDF and painted with acrylic paint.
Special frame 40x40 cm (6 cm deep) with LED lighting around the perimeter is designed for the picture. During the day the minimalistic design of the frame highlights the main content of the work. In the evening the picture additionally serves as a soft background illumination of the interior.
Thanks to the careful construction and design of the frame, the focus is on the main content of the sculpture, emphasizing the play of light and shadow. The most important thing is illuminated, and the light source is hidden and not conspicuous.

My name is Alexei Kondratyev.
Observing the beauty and simplicity of the world around me and fantasizing about other worlds beyond my everyday perception, I experiment with shapes, light and materials. I try to make my work set and complement the aesthetics of the interior of a house, studio, office, café, club.
My workshop is located in the wonderful country of Sakartvelo. Me are surrounded by mountains covered with forests. I love to watch the sunlight lay down on their forms. And sometimes, the mountains are hidden by a shroud of fog. Very beautiful and friendly people live in Sakartvelo. Every day I absorb the beauty and kindness of this wonderful country and its wonderful people and try to share it in our works.
