Grants and Awards
The Association for Native Development in the Performing & Visual Arts and Edward Falkenberg, International Sculptor have been collaborating on a project for the Pickering Waterfront Trail since 2002. This project titled The Western Gate is a permanent dome structure straddling the entry of the western portion of the Pickering Trail. Last summer ANDPVA sent out a call for submissions for First Nation artists to present their work for consideration and we would like to announce the winners of the competition.

These four artists were selected through a jury process comprised of an Elder, Traditional Advisor, First Nation artists and Edward Falkenberg.

Congratulations to Randall Charboneau, Marc Anthony Jacobson, Tannis Neilson and Joseph Sagaj.
