Let the music overflow 绘画 由 Tabia Lourenço

“I believe art has manifested itself in me in every way possible, and throughout my whole life. I thought I would become a great actor and it was then that I began to discover painting.

I was that kind of child who loved drawing and painting, I used to spend hours playing with colors and shades, and still nowadays.

Self taught artist, I come from a family which is not into the arts talent, I ve grown up with the idea that I had to find another way to make money, and that explains my University degree which have nothing to do with Arts. After do what my family wanted, i decided to make myself happy and go for what I really wished, I travelled, I lived in France, I could enjoy a lovely time in Europe, I spent so many hours in a deep dive on my drawings, and go for the arts set me free. I m back to Sao Paulo, Brasil where I go on with my work.

“I paint what I feel, and my inspiration comes from music,( I m always with my headphones on)usually very motivated by Depeche mode and Bat for lashes, my sentiments towards the people in my life, far away or close to me, something that I’ve seen or a simple story of someone else with a overview of it, from books; philosophy, psychology and mythology. As an artist I need and I want to experience the full spectrum of emotions for the benefit of my craft, which is always a dark room where all my own noises are allowed. The problem is every time I allowed myself to go to the dark noisy room the only way to emerge from it is to make real what I have seen there. My work are stories written without words and that is told wherever on digital or traditional canvas, and they are there to people find their own stories or just appreciate a good one.
