Sumali Piyatissa

Sumali (Buki) is a self-taught artist from Sri Lanka who has transitioned from a career in accounting to pursue art professionally. Originally a financial advisor, Sumali's passion for art led her to leave her daily work and fully embrace her creative ambitions.

Today, Sumali is an active artist known for her distinctive abstract style that combines modern mixed media techniques with a departure from traditional methods. Her work is characterized by its experimental use of different mediums and textures, reflecting her inspiration from nature, travel, and the surrounding beauty that captures her eye. Her paintings convey themes of freedom, joy, and positivity.

Sumali has showcased her art at numerous international art fairs, including those in London, Austria, Madrid, Switzerland, Paris, Sri Lanka, and Sweden. She has held two solo exhibitions and currently sells her artwork on global platforms.
