Subhajit Paul

My name is Subhajit Paul and I am from Guwahati, Assam, India. I am a self-taught artist. I was introduced to the art world by my father. He was my first Master and is still a great inspiration to me.  I do paint in almost all media, but watercolor is my favorite medium. The unexpected outcome of this medium makes it the most challenging medium and hence always fascinates me. Simplicity and rooted to the soil are two mantras of my life and they are revealed in myworks, thoughts and paintings. Life around with its trifle things have always made me curious and interesting and I try to depict them in my paintings. I try to follow the basic rules of watercolor in my paintings i.e. one- try to maintain the integrity of water and secondly Minimum work with maximum impact.
