Strahil Petrovski

Born in Kumanovo, R. Macedonia, in 1974. He graduated from the Arts Faculty at the "Ss. Cyril and Methodius" University in 1997 in the painting class of full professor Rodoljub Anatasov. In 2000 he completed his postgraduate studies at the same faculty and with the same professor as his mentor. In 2000-2002 he worked as external associate-demonstrator at the Arts Faculty in Skopje in the subject of painting technology and painting techniques in the classes of Professor Momchilo Petrovski and Professor Velo Tashovski. In 2002-2010 he worked as a part-time external associate-conservator at the National Conservation Center in Skopje at the laboratory for conservation and restauration of icons. He took part in the first scientific project entitled "BRESTAL" under the mentorship of Professor Momchilo Petrovski at the Arts Faculty in Skopje. Since 2010 he has been working at the National Conservation Center in Skopje, while in 2011 he acquired the title of senior conservator at the same institution. Since 2012 he has been working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Macedonian Literature Institute of the "Ss. Cyril and Methodius" University in Skopje. He has been a member of the Association of Macedonian Artists (DLUM) since 1997, an ICOM member since 2011 and he was also an ICOMOS member in 2001-2007.
