Thank you for your gracious words in your comment of my study entitled :Peter Took His Eye Off Of Jesus And ...
Art is a communicative tool, and trying to capture The fear and desecration of Peter because of the storm and his position of sink into the sea, and at the same time Showing Jesus's compassion for him by crouching down to get hold of the bottom of Peter's arms, to pull him to safety , creates the right spirit .
I have look over many illustration that illustrate This Biblical event , and I have found that many artists have fail to capture the spirit of that moment. So many have their image of Jesus stand straight up whith only one hand reaching down toward Peter, with the other hand lift up over their head make some kind of spiritually looking sign.
And I agree with you about most artist place Jesus to for from Peter, that fails to communicate the desperation of peter's situation, and the compassion Jesus is feeling that should be shown that drives him to rush to Peter rescue,
Another Challenge is to make sure one's image Is culturally ,biblically, archeology correct and doses not have the appearance of plagiarism in it. Meaning I have copy someone else artwork.
This illustration had me stump for little while , but through prayer and patients I was able complete this illustration. I am not just producing art I am sharing a spiritual journey.
