What rises within you when you allow yourself to be still?
"Pause nºII" continues the exploration of presence, power, and becoming. With vertical energy and textured, layered blue hues, this piece speaks to movement—not fast or loud—but steady, strong, and rising from within. Each upward stroke is a breath, a decision, a shift.
Created through a slow, intentional process—applying paint, letting it rest, then layering again with bold, energetic gestures—this work mirrors the rhythm of transformation. Like the way women lead: not by force, but with depth, resilience, and grounded presence.
"Pause nºII" reflects my own path—from a 30-year leadership career in the male-dominated tech industry to embracing my truth as a full-time artist. Now living in the tranquil Serra da Estrela mountains in Portugal, I paint from a place of freedom, nature, and authenticity.
This is not a painting about stillness.
It’s about the strength that comes through stillness.
The rise that begins in the pause.
Fully painted to the edges, with 3 to 7 cm left for professional framing.

What could rise in you—if you simply allowed the pause?
"Pause nºII" stands as a defining piece within the Blue Collection, offering profound symbolism and a meticulously layered technique. Its larger scale, combined with the deep emotional resonance and impact of the work, significantly enhances its market value.
As an emerging artist, this unique piece is priced to reflect its size, significance, and the artist’s evolving journey — making it an ideal acquisition for collectors seeking original, thought-provoking works with future potential.

As a self-taught, emergent artist, my work is a reflection of both my personal and professional journey—an evolution from a trailblazing CEO and Entrepreneur in the tech industry to a liberated creative spirit in the rural mountains of Portugal. My art, deeply rooted in abstraction, celebrates the complexity of transformation, female empowerment, and the profound beauty of life’s transitions. Through vibrant colors, bold compositions, and textured layers, I create a visual language that invites both emotional connection and intellectual exploration.
I view abstract painting as a powerful form of expression, where creativity flows freely and without boundaries. My approach is fluid, constantly evolving, and never bound by a single formula. Much like leadership, which requires the courage to adapt and take risks, my art thrives on unpredictability, allowing the materials and organic forms to speak their own language. The absence of a fixed style mirrors my belief that, just like leadership, art should evolve with the times—embracing new techniques, emotions, and energies to truly capture the complexities of the human experience.
In my work, the dynamic interplay of bold, vibrant colors and textures is a reflection of strength and resilience, particularly the resilience of women navigating challenging environments, whether in the boardroom or in life. I use particularly large canvases and paint on the floor, as the perspective from this angle is entirely different, allowing for a deeper connection to the work. Blue hues, in various shades, dominate my canvas—symbolizing depth, calm, and infinite possibilities. These shades of blue represent both the soothing force of inner strength and the boundless potential that comes from embracing change and uncertainty. The layers of blue, ever-shifting, echo the fluidity of life itself and the unwavering spirit that drives one forward.
I work primarily with cotton and linen, two raw materials that resonate deeply with me as symbols of authenticity, resilience, and vulnerability—qualities that embody female leadership. These materials allow me to explore the tactile, organic nature of life’s transitions. My use of fabric and natural textures reflects the grounding energy of nature, drawing inspiration from my surroundings in the rural mountains of Serra da Estrela. Through these materials, I express the profound depth of emotion and the beauty that emerges when we embrace imperfection and change.
Art, for me, is a powerful tool for transformation and expression. After spending over three decades in the corporate world, I turned to art not as an escape, but as a means of deeper connection, self-expression, and inspiration.
