In this work titled Plastemìa, neologism derived from the union of the words plastic and pandemic from the Greek pandemios "of all the people", I address the issue of the environmental and social crisis as a consequence of the human attitude to transform the useful into harmful. The parallelism of this crisis with the indifference of human beings encapsulates the key aspect of my work. In the work you can see the figures represented in the exercise of normal daily activities and although relegated within plastic packaging their expressions are of extreme normality, tranquility and indifference. This is used as a metaphor of human behavior towards what we know to be an announced catastrophe but we are not ready to make that difficult personal effort to reverse the trend, unaware and slaves in everyday life.
