Solange Alinot Je suis née en 1954 à Paris. Avant la numérisation des métiers de l’édition, je me destinais à être maquettiste jusqu’en 1987, où j'ai découvert la gravure et me suis prise de passion pour ce médium si universel et si versatile en même temps. J'infuse ce que j'ai appris du métier dans mes monotypes et mes tirages. Mes thèmes récurrents traitent de l’actualité, mais aussi de la mémoire, de la solitude et de l’étude des corps dans un univers abstrait et expressionniste qui, souvent mais pas toujours, vous permet d'interpréter mes œuvres en tournant le tirage dans la direction de votre choix. À travers mes différentes épreuves (de gravure), j'explore une palette de couleurs aux tonalités fortes et en une recherche constante du mouvement, qu'il soit du corps humain ou des formes abstraites. Before the digitisation of the publishing industry, I was a layout artist until 1987, when I discovered engraving and fell in love with this universal yet versatile medium. I infuse what I have learnt from the craft into my engravings, monotypes, and prints. My recurring themes deal with current affairs, but also with memory, solitude, and the study of the body in an abstract and expressionist world that often, but not always, lets you interpret my works by turning the print in the direction you choose.
