When I walk along a path and a ray of light kisses the ground, I have the feeling - or perhaps the hope - that this light can also illuminate my life. This work allows me to relive that feeling every time.
This painting was created in the studio in August 2023 and is a reworking of several studies done en plein air.
The work is painted in oil on rough paper, then applied on 100% linen canvas mounted on a fixed fir frame made to measure by the artist.
The signature is in the lower right corner.
The painting is protected with a layer of satin acrylic varnish.
The work comes with a thin fir frame that deliberately shows the knots in the wood to better match the natural subject. It is ready to hang.
A certificate of authenticity signed by the artist is included.
"The light on the path" is the literal translation of the original Italian title "La luce sul sentiero".

I started out as a portrait painter at a very young age, later shifting my interest to nature. I thus began an artistic journey in which the study of painting merged with the discovery of the world around me, making me discover beauty in every corner. I see nature as a mystery to be unravelled, and painting as the best tool to do so. I dream of being able to create works that, with essential brushstrokes, can tell the story of the nature I am experiencing at that moment, in its entirety. But my paintings are not just landscapes. They are compositions that tell stories, moods or situations transfigured in nature. I paint mainly en plein air, using oil colours. The setting of the work is classical, figurative, perspective. The choice of colours is post-impressionist, with pure colours, often juxtaposed, mixed directly on the canvas. The execution is quick and unhesitating, typically expressionist. There is no drawing, painting is drawing. I like to paint on paper and then transfer to canvas. As a separate discipline, I am also interested in portraiture, which I have always done, also on commission.
