Sherwin Wang is a Chinese-born abstract artist currently living and working in California, USA. Rooted in a background of traditional oil painting, he gradually moved toward a spiritual minimalism expressed through digital media. His works—created primarily with Procreate on iPad Pro—are meditative visual prayers that explore themes of grace, redemption, and divine presence. Drawing from the Bible as his wellspring of inspiration, Wang’s artistic language seeks to make visible the invisible, inviting viewers into quiet contemplation and spiritual reflection.
My work is not narrative, but it speaks of redemption, salvation, compassion, love, peace, and joy.
I strive for non-representational minimalism with a sense of visual clarity.
I paint with oil and acrylic on canvas and paper, though these days I work more often with digital media, which gives me greater freedom and flow in creative expression.
