Sylvia was born in Paris in 1951 and came from a family of artists. As an artist painter-sculptor, musician, writer and being creative since her youth Sylvia knew how to create her own visual vocabulary.
A part of her art can be analysed as a search of synthesis between the abstract and the figurative! Through various elements which make up her paintings there emerges a simple image, full of feeling and emotion which will demonstrate a dream to reality with constant evolution. Her very personal technic is the result of “practice makes perfect” and is a constant movement of her senses within her mind, sight and touch. Sylvia uses various elements, such as leather, lace, wood, resin and metal along with other natural materials which offer another dimension to her artworks, thus creating and attaching a subtle difference from the norm to an inspirational piece that has almost been created in another dimension.
Each one of Sylvia’s works is a reflection of her passions, collecting fragments, souvenirs and memories over many years setting images of archival quality from an infinite memory...
Exhibited in Paris where Sylvia received the Medal of The City in Paris and also in The Jewish Museum of Art in Paris. Sylvia has also exhibited her work in The Contemporary Art Museum in the City of Fontainebleau. In 2007 her work was also exposed at Art Expo New York, Art Fair Marbella in 2010 and more recently in 2013 Centro Cultural de San Pedro de Alcantara and in 2015 The Museum Cortijo Miraflores where her paintings and extraordinary sculptures were highly acclaimed. Sylvia’s works are held in many private collections throughout Europe.
