This small still life shows a glass cup of tea with lemon, painted from life under warm artificial light. I focused on the contrast between transparency and glow, using expressive brushwork and a limited oil palette. The piece was created alla prima on hardboard, aiming to capture immediacy and freshness.
The inspiration came from a quiet daily moment — making tea. I was drawn to the way light passed through the glass and how the lemon seemed to emit its own soft glow. The tea bag tag resting on the table adds a casual, modern element to the composition.
With this painting, I wanted to highlight the quiet beauty in everyday life. My goal was to create something calm and intimate, encouraging the viewer to slow down and notice small, familiar moments. I chose oil for its richness and flexibility, and the subject for its simple yet vivid visual potential.

I studied visual arts in college, training as an art teacher, and later continued my education at university with a focus on graphic design. This gave me a solid foundation in artistic skills and a clear understanding of visual language.

Today I work with both still lifes and landscapes. I'm interested not only in the painterly potential of a subject or scene, but also in the impression it can leave. Form, color, light, and mood — these are what help me express a sense of presence and harmony.

I’m drawn to both restrained expression and classical beauty in painting. I aim to reveal something new in familiar images, creating space for contemplation and emotional response.

I work in the alla prima technique, which allows me to preserve freshness, immediacy, and energy in every brushstroke. My focus is on composition, light, and overall mood. My paintings are not literal representations, but painterly impressions of what I’ve seen and experienced.
