Modern Art is a term that refers to the artistic expressions that emerged at the end of the 19th century, which extended until the middle of the 20th century.

Modern Art is a term that refers to the artistic expressions that emerged at the end of the 19th century, which extended until the middle of the 20th century.
In modern art, one can see the influence of the Industrial Revolution, steam engines, increased speeds, photography, cinema, airplanes, the study of the mind, among other elements that contributed to the change in thinking and attitudes.
As a result, the main artistic movements turned to three streams,
Style: the artists sought to break the rules in search of a new style capable of expressing modern life. The most outstanding movements are: Fauvism, Futurism, Cubism, School of Paris, Neoplasticism among others.
Mind: Experimentalist artists declared that the aim of art was not the simple representation of the visible, but the inner expression of emotion and sensibility. The most prominent movements are: Symbolism, Expressionism, Suprematism, Dadaism, Surrealism, among others.
Function: designers, illustrators and architects began to worry about the functionality of art, without neglecting the form, with people's way of life being the main concern. The most prominent movements are: Arts & crafts, Art Noveau, Constructivism, Bauhaus, De Stijl, Art Deco, International style among others.
