Tree XVII” è un incontro tra natura e astrazione, tra gesto e contemplazione. L’albero, elemento ricorrente della serie, qui si dissolve in una nuvola materica: un’esplosione di pigmenti, graffi, strati di cera e terre che sfumano i contorni del reale.
La composizione è costruita come una finestra incisa nella materia, un varco percettivo attraverso il quale il paesaggio si lascia intuire ma non afferrare. Il soggetto, un albero intrecciato al cielo, è attraversato da una linea di energia cromatica — un gesto pittorico che taglia l’immagine, come una ferita luminosa, o una fioritura improvvisa.
In “Tree XVII” l’albero non è più solo organismo naturale, ma simbolo universale di radicamento, trasformazione, rinascita. La superficie grezza che lo circonda evoca la pelle della terra, e allo stesso tempo la memoria del gesto artistico: ogni strato è una traccia, un tempo, un respiro.

Tree XVII” is a meeting point between nature and abstraction, between gesture and contemplation. The tree, a recurring element of the series, dissolves here into a material cloud—an explosion of pigments, scratches, layers of wax and earth that blur the contours of reality.

The composition is built like a window carved into the surface, a perceptive threshold through which the landscape can be glimpsed, but not grasped. The subject, a tree entangled with the sky, is crossed by a chromatic current—a painted gesture that cuts through the image like a luminous wound, or an unexpected blossoming.
In “Tree XVII”, the tree is no longer just a natural organism, but a universal symbol of rootedness, transformation, and rebirth. The raw surface that surrounds it evokes the skin of the earth, and at the same time, the memory of artistic action: each layer is a trace, a moment, a breath.
