"Message in a Bottle” is inspired by the Mediterranean Sea. The colors, textures, and forms that always draw me in. I built it up with layered brushstrokes, geometric shapes, and areas of texture from scratching back the surface. There’s a feeling of uncovering something, like trying to decode a message that’s travelled across time and sea. You’ll find hints of vessels, leaves, and architectural fragments woven into the composition. The palette is full of sea blues, sun-washed yellows, terracotta, and sunset orange, all capturing the warmth and spirit of the region.

Medium: Acrylic paint and acrylic marker on gallery grade canvas.

Signed Certificate of Authenticity.

The artwork has been finished with a gloss varnish to protect against UV and dust.

The artwork was painted on un-stretched Italian cotton canvas, with a 6 cm border left for stretching onto a canvas frame. This artwork is shipped rolled in a tube for safe international delivery and can be affordably stretched at your local framing store.

Samantha Malone (born 1978) is an Australian/Israeli artist currently based in Tel Aviv. Her work is inspired by geometric abstraction, cubism, and the dynamic interplay between order and chaos.
