The work was inspired by the ornate marble centrepiece of the main gate of the 18th-century Castellania, a former courthouse and prison in Valletta, Malta, portraying Lady Justice and Lady Prudentia. The work was inspired by the ornate marble centrepiece of the main gate of the 18th-century Castellania, a former courthouse and prison in Valletta, Malta, portraying Lady Justice and Lady Prudentia.
