A lovely canal in Venice. I did the sketch for it resting on the bridgge. There is an awning on the right belonging to the restaurant with beautiful flowers hanging over. The painting is in oils on stretched canvas and signed on the front. It is ready to hang. All my paintings have a certificate of authenticity.

I was born in Bristol UK and studied at the West of England College of Art .  I also srudied at Bristol University and South Glamorgan Institute .  For several years i taught Art and also lectured in Etching.  I am now a full time artist.  For long periods I lived in Italy- particularly Venice -  and travelled a lot in France.  Other influence is my lifetime's love of Jazz.  Painting is very important to me and it is something I have done since a very early age.  I have spent many months at a time painting in Venice.  I just love the little streets and the various boats.  It gives me inspiration.
