Roman Lasa is an expressionist artist who specializes in graphics. He was born in Poland in 1975. He graduated High School of Fine Arts in Kraków. From 1995 to 2001 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków and graduated in Silkscreen Workshop.
After finishing his studies he stayed in Kraków. Currently he practices painting, drawing and graphic arts. His works are in many private and public collections in France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Finland, Holland, United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Poland.
His current source of inspiration is anthropological approach to the human being, in which transformation performs a crucial role. His art form and technique reflect complicated nature of the human. Man expressed with intensive color and bold line states questions, and evokes emotions.

...il faut distinguer ma peinture de mon dessin...

...la deformation n'est pas un element indispensable de l'art contemporain, pourtant elle peut etre le facteur renforcant l'expression de l'oeuvre, ce par quoi l'oeuvre agit sur le spectateur encore plus intensement...

DE LA NATURE:
...la nature (humaine ou autre) est le motif important qui m'inspire. Elle est si variee qu'elle apporte l'infini de solutions...

DE L'EXPERIENCE:
...la recherche de nouvelles techniques est tres importante pour l'artiste parce qu'elle lui permet d'exposer sa personnalite artistique. Pourtant il ne faut pas forcer les choses en matiere de creation, sinon on risque de perdre son authenticite...

Artiste habitant Cracovie, en Pologne. 1995-2001 il a etudie a l'Academie de Beaux - Arts, a la faculte de graphie. En 2001, il a soutenu le diplome en art. Des ce moment, il a expose ses oeuvres maintes fois lors des expositions individuelles et collectives. Ses oeuvres (dessins, huiles sur toile, techniques mixtes) se trouvent dans les collections privees et publiques dans le pays et a l'etranger: Autriche, France, Belgique, Finlande, Italie, Espagne, Allemagne, Angletterre.
