Block colors is one of my early series from 2003, starting to use a larger spatula. I am using in this serious pure colors directly out of the tubes. The colors on the canvas surface are slightly mixed and mingled into each other within the process of painting. This underlines the purines of the color blocking, but at the same time gives room to create complementary contrasts and deep blurry images, creating color spaces and intercommunicate with the surrounding interior of your home.

Miles Davis gilt als einer der einflußreichsten Jazzmusiker des 20. Jahrhunderts. Neben verschiedenen Jazz-Stilen wie Cool-Jazz, Hard Bob, Free-Jazz und Jazz-Rock erlangte Davis jedoch zunächst Berühmtheit durch seinen Bebop Jazz. Dieser zeichnet sich durch größere rythmische Freiheiten, schnelleres Tempo, sowie durch komplexere Harmonie-Schemata aus, die sich über lange Improvisations-Strecken aufzulösen scheinen und in eine immer neu zu kreierende Eigenständigkeit eines jeden Stückes gipfeln. Diesem schnellen Schemata komplexer Harmonien und Improviationen sowohl in der rythmischen Formgebung als auch in der Farbfolge binden sich meine Bildkompositionen an. Immer neu sich schaffende Farb-Dilutionen überlagern Schicht für Schicht die unmittelbar vorher geschaffene Improvisation des Farb-Raumes, lösen diesen für einen Moment auf und bilden durch diesen Prozess des sich selbst Erneuerns immer komplexere Harmonien in der Farb- und Form-Komposition.

Biography
Robert Heinrich Niesse is a contemporary German artist and fashion designer known for his vibrant and expressive paintings. Born in 1963, Niesse has always been drawn to the world of art, maintaining a passion for painting since his youth alongside his career in the international fashion sector. In 2010, he transitioned to become a full-time freelance visual artist, dedicating himself to his craft with unwavering commitment.
Niesse's paintings are characterized by their intense colors and bold application techniques, reflecting his unique artistic vision. Unlike traditional methods, Niesse eschews brushes in favor of spatulas and squeegees, using copious amounts of oil paint on canvases layered with recycled PET padding. This innovative approach results in what he terms "padded wall objects," where the oil painting transcends its two-dimensional nature to become a tangible, three-dimensional form.
Working with oil paint allows Niesse the freedom to explore the sensual and aesthetic qualities of color to their fullest extent. He revels in the slow-drying nature of oil paint, which affords him the opportunity to continually manipulate and refine his compositions over extended periods. This process of layering and mixing colors yields unforeseen and dynamic results, imbuing his artworks with a vitality and presence that captivates viewers.
Niesse's abstract and informal style pushes the boundaries of traditional painting techniques, embracing spontaneity and chance to create works that are both visually striking and emotionally resonant.
