Rina Lazar

Rina Lazar is a contemporary French-Russian artist. She combines digital technology with vibrant colors and expansive shapes to create a unique take on Abstract Expressionism, which she coined as "21st Century Expressionism".

Lazar's art is permeated with a special feminine mysticism and subconscious eroticism, which speaks of a deep realm in which every person inevitably dwells. But with her work, she also seeks to bridge the cultural gaps that exist today in order to inspire her viewers to go beyond the trappings of technology and modernity that oppose all of us. 

One of the directions that Lazar develops is dedicated to Greek mythology. Realism in the images of expressive figures and nudity echoes rich processing of animated brush strokes. Lazar creates these paintings as artifacts using magical symbols tied to the channels of the gods.
