Fetting studied at the Berlin Academy of Arts and co-founded the Galerie am Moritzplatz with other artists, providing a platform for their vibrant, raw style.

Fetting's works are characterized by bold, dynamic brushstrokes and vibrant colors, often depicting urban landscapes, male figures, and portraits. He became well-known for his paintings of Berlin’s Wall and depictions of David Bowie.
