In Hinduism, each deity has its own shakti (devi, goddess), and together they represent the Personalities (personifications) and Forces (energies) of the one Brahman and his Mahashakti, or Mahadevi. Yoni is a female organ — its most important symbol[3].
The word "shakti" has many meanings[4].
Shakti is called the great universal infinite Divine energy, which is the creative and executive force of the ocean of Divine Consciousness (Shiva); at the same time, Shakti is in continuous fusion with Shiva, representing with him two inseparable aspects of one reality.
Shakti is the Mother Goddess, Jaganmatri (Mother of the World).
Shakti is the manifested world, Mother Nature.
Shakti is Maya.
Shakti is the cosmic feminine principle.

Tridevi (Saraswati, Lakshmi and Durga) is the female counterpart of Trimurti, Tripurasundari (Lalita), Kali, Parvati, Chamunda, Bhavani, Bhairavi, Chandi, Tara, Meenakshi, Kamakshi, Rajarajeshwari, Dashamahavidya — various forms of Shakti; each of these forms embodies some aspect of it[4].
