Emanuela Ligal è nata a Padova il 17/05/1958.
Disegna e dipinge dal 1977.
Dal 1978 ha trascorso un anno a Londra in Kensington Garden Square.
Fra il 1982 e il 1983 ha vissuto un’esperienza, durata un anno, presso il monastero
buddista, denominato Tosho-ji, a Tokio (Shinagawa-ku), guidata dal maestro Zen
Ban-Roshi e dalla famosa monaca irlandese Maura “Soshin” O’Halloran.
Dal 1989 ha trascorso un anno in Toscana, durante il quale ha esposto le sue opere a
Chianciano Terme.
Nel Marzo 2000 ha esibito parte del suo lavoro nella galleria “The Emergent Collector”
dell’ East-village a New York City.
Ha partecipato nel Novembre 2002 alla Rassegna internazionale d’arte contemporanea
Magica - la magia dell’arte - presso il Castello Estense di Ferrara.
Dal 2002 esposizione permanente presso “La Mostra gallery” di Cardiff esclusiva per il Regno Unito
Oggi vive e lavora a Padova.
La sua creatività è il frutto della sue esperienze, vissute sempre in modo molto intenso.
Nell’apparente banalità dell’esistenza, vede la maschera che lei o altri personaggi
indossano in situazioni quotidiane. Ironia, originalità, traspaiono dalle forme disinvolte come dai colori luminosi, usati sempre
con grande maestria.
