Non-conformiste, l’âme sauvage, mais d’une grande sensibilité. Né en 1967 en Vendée, Zazen a vécu une grande partie de sa jeunesse entourée de femmes.
Dès l’âge de 7 ans, il réalisait ses premières voitures en bois ou carton, puis la découverte du modélisme lui a permis d’explorer différents univers, dont celui des dioramas.
Après des études dans le bâtiment puis dans le graphisme, il a étudié l’art du trompe l’œil à Poitiers.
Il a créé son entreprise de graphisme et web design en 1999 tout en se lançant dans la peinture sur toile, puis a abandonné son statut de chef d’entreprise pour se consacrer à la peinture.
Il vécut en Alsace pendant quelques années puis à Dijon où il commença à travailler sur différents supports, bois, toile sur châssis, pierre, tissus, plâtre…
Tombé amoureux de la Bourgogne, il a décidé de s’installer dans un petit village parmi l’histoire et les vignes.
Il se lance également dans la reconstruction du patrimoine en pierre avec les méthodes des anciens.
Depuis, il expose en Bourgogne au gré du temps.
À la recherche d’une expression et après une longue période en noir et blanc, il a pris goût aux couleurs et travaille maintenant sur des couleurs vives et en monochrome.
Des sculptures sur bois avec du tissu et du plâtre apporte également un autre mouvement à ses œuvres.
Nous attendons avec impatience de découvrir ses nouvelles inspirations…
