Better late than never to be able to devote all his time to a passion because painting is one for him.
From the bases acquired of the various pictorial techniques which he learned, when he was only a student, at the Association of Former Students of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Bourges, he had to wait until the retirement age to make it a reality. But it was only after having devoted three years to photography that in 2007 he began to paint diligently.
Over the past sixteen years, PiCH has produced numerous marine canvases which he has exhibited in practically all the villages on his Ile de Ré, but also in La Rochelle, Poitiers, Paris, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles and on the NET where his paintings are viewed around the world.
His pictorial works allowed him to be recognized by his peers and to obtain the status of professional painter on July 1, 2015. On December 17, 2017, he joined the large family of 800 listed professional painters, certified i-CAC . Holder of the Professional Certificate of Pictorial Art since 2017, the same year, he received the Grand Prix du Palmarès National des Styles. In 2019, he was rewarded with a Grand International Trophy in Monte-Carlo in the principality of MONACO. At the end of 2022, on December 19, PiCH was awarded during the National Awards ceremony for European Artists of the Arts 2022 which took place in the Salon Dali of the Mercure Hotel in Hyères-les-Palmiers.
Having become a master since 2018 of cutting-edge techniques, such as those of acrylic pouring and fluid painting, PiCH has today conquered new territory in abstraction. As the title of his works in his collection, Pich's magic abstract art, suggests, these appear both as original creations and as fundamental research in the complex field of visual abstraction. According to Antoine Antolini, art critic at Editions des Musées et de la Culture en Europe in Toulon. the artist has gone beyond the play of the subliminal in his polychrome contrasts, he has been able to create another abstraction, another newer way, as powerful and radiant as was abstract expressionism, or the monochrome research of the School of New York in the last century.
Since its first listing in January 2014, the painter's rating has steadily increased. From €400 in 2014 for a painting in 15P format (65cmx50cm), this average value has risen to €1,300 since November 22, 2022.
