Turning not only allows different aspects to duplicate the essential sensation of moving around the sculpture but can also capture a particular light and create shadows. [...]

The absence of sides and corners on a circular base allow the sculpture to be turned to any position while still facing forwards. Turning not only allows different aspects to duplicate the essential sensation of moving around the sculpture but can also capture a particular light and create shadows.
Any horticultural association cannot be denied but is an unintended consequence of the artist’s original inspiration.
It is an abstract sculpture that remains open for the viewer to attach their own stories and interpretations.
