The artist, having lived in San Francisco, has taken the Haight-Ashbury "Free Clinic" and turned it into a Free Clinic for animals. Here we see his donkey (Nugoro), his Barbados Sheep "Mr. Teeth", Mr. Moto (black cat), Alberta (calico cat), and Chilindrina (black chihuahua) and the giraffe from the artist's memories of living[...]
The artist, having lived in San Francisco, has taken the Haight-Ashbury "Free Clinic" and turned it into a Free Clinic for animals. Here we see his donkey (Nugoro), his Barbados Sheep "Mr. Teeth", Mr. Moto (black cat), Alberta (calico cat), and Chilindrina (black chihuahua) and the giraffe from the artist's memories of living in Africa. The colours have been carefully selected to reflect the Haight-Ashbury area of San Francisco, a place where the artist has spent a great deal of time over the last 60 years. Since the artist also has an Animal Rescue Centre at his studio in Northern California, it is no surprise that he dreams of a Free Vet Clinic for his many animals. Painting was done in collaboration with Anastasia Nelson and is signed "Nelson Dynan".

Phil Dynan is an American painter and sculptor who has exhibited his works throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. With a career spanning over 50 years, he has experimented with varying styles and mediums. Having mainly used serigraphy and acrylics in his art, he now paints using water-based oils, which facilitates blending. Dynan also creates 3D, Reverse Perspective, viewer-interactive wall sculptures made from Birch and oil or acrylics.
