Peter Scott-Harrison

I started my working life in the performing arts, working in theatre,  television and film. While teaching myself music composition to find an outlet of expression and help combat being dyslexic. I started to teach myself the keyboard at about 4 years of age, then harmonica and acoustic guitar a year or two later. 

Paint was always around the house for me to use as my father worked for ICI. I used to paint walls and the family's dog as a child at the house of my birth, opposite the stage door entrance of a well-known dance hall in the town of Ilford Essex, Greater London.

I have studied 35mm Film and Humanities, which involved Art History with gallery visits. I also worked in FE Teaching adults various subjects for 8 years before I tried my hand at canvas painting, which has greatly improved my well-being while recovering from a personal injury.
