Pascal Aiache is a self-taught artist, based in Paris, working with acrylic paint, on canvas. His minimalist and optimistic paintings flirt with abstraction, and celebrate the beauty of nature and harmony with the universe. Aiache focuses now on the expressive power of colors, alone. He believes that colors have the power to create a soothing and positive energy, just like a morning sunrise. His vibrant colors, deployed on stripes, and joyful contrasts, convey a feeling of peace, happiness and well-being. Inspired by nature and the ocean, as well as American abstract and color field movements, he channels artists such as Mark Rothko, Ellsworth Kelly and Frank Stella. His art invites viewers to relax on a paradise beach, where the sound of the ocean is music to the soul.
