Lion of Judah è una tela che cattura l’attenzione con un impatto cromatico deciso e una sintassi pittorica che richiama le avanguardie del Novecento, senza perdere di vista la tensione spirituale che attraversa l'opera. L’elemento più evidente è la composizione essenziale ma di forte suggestione: il nero strutturale, quasi una nervatura scheletrica, si intreccia con il verde liquido e pulsante, mentre il giallo solare, interrotto dal rosso intenso, si staglia come un nucleo di energia primordiale. The most evident element is the essential but highly suggestive composition: the structural black, almost a skeletal rib, intertwines with the liquid and pulsating green, while the solar yellow, interrupted by the intense red, stands out like a nucleus of primordial energy. The white surface of the canvas acts as a breathing space, allowing each color to have its role and its meaning. There is something primitive and at the same time refined in Cantù's stroke. The green drips seem to evoke an organic code, a biological language that recalls the lifeblood, while the fragmented black has the flavor of an ancient rock script, as if the canvas were a sacred wall on which the artist engraves an ancestral memory. And then that yellow eye, which recalls the sun, divinity, power. A direct reference to the Lion of Judah, symbol of strength, royalty and spirituality. Cantù manages to synthesize an archaic vision with a contemporary aesthetic, where the pictorial gesture is controlled but never cold, the shape is geometric but never rigid, the color is expressive without being decorative.
