Biografia
Oxana Shimanchuk, stage name O.Shim, since graduation at Graphic Design and Illustration, works as a designer and at the same time works as an oil painter.
The surrounding landscapes and nature are the main themes for her work. By capturing the color and brightness of the landscape at different times of the day, the artist captures her impressions, transforming sensation into aesthetic expression. In her painting, at times, she escapes the physiological character, allowing the spectator to find more of a psychological character. In contemplating her works, a more confessional aspect is noted, a manifestation of the intimate monologue that reveals her personality.
The tones and combinations chosen by the artist in each work reveal and reflect the spirit of the moment. It should be noted that the artist uses the palette and a set of colours to represent the continuous changes in the outside world – mainly in light.
O.Shim is a member of the Aveiro Arte, Experimental Circle of Plastic Artists of Aveiro.
Her artworks are represented in several national and foreign private collections and galleries.
The artistic career includes regular participation in collective and solo exhibitions.

One day in the world the search seems to ensure wider horizons of life and well-being.
One day in the world there is a growing perception of the fragility of our planet, whose fate is increasingly linked to our behavior.
One day in the world, the one hundred and sixty Artists whose works you see presented in this catalogue, decide to make the simple and radical gesture of painting, sculpting, drawing, taking photographs, shooting videos, designing installations. Performing a creative gesture that, observed as a whole, appears as a great collective work, a choral with many voices that reaches our sensitivity by following different paths: those of beauty, reflection, dream, denunciation, transcendence.
