The spellings of light in shadow establish a game that seduces the eye of the beholder. The images provide new scenarios affirming the relationship of everyday objects with the spaces they inhabit. Ordí Calder is een professionele fotograaf wiens werken verrassen met hun diepte en subtiliteit. In zijn werk is de invloed van Salvador Dali, Thomas Farkas, Picasso, Van Gogh en Sebastião Salgado af te lezen.
Door met name de thema's landschap en stedelijkheid aan de orde te stellen, onderscheidt zijn werk zich door een nieuw licht.
Ordí Calder is autodidactisch fotograaf sinds 2002 en fulltime kunstenaar sinds 2011. Historicus (UFMT, 2006) en professioneel (1999-2006) specialist in grafisch ontwerp (Anhembi Morumbi, 2008). Hij woont en fotografeert momenteel in São Paulo, Brazilië. Hij ontving de David di Bernini-prijs 2015 en de "Special Prize for Human Rights in 2015 Tribute to Anne Frank".
