“Pair of Swans: Atmospheric & Tender Acrylic Painting” is more than just a painting – it’s a piece of my heart poured onto the canvas.
In this artwork, I aimed to evoke a sense of gentle harmony and beauty, employing acrylic painting techniques with touches of lyrical realism to capture the ethereal lightness and graceful movement of the swans.
The subject is simple yet profound: a pair of swans whose very form embodies the eternal symbol of boundless love. My intention was to portray the epitome of purity, harmony, and the highest of emotions through their elegant presence.
The painting is bathed in a palette of soft pastel hues – delicate pinks, calming lavenders, warm golds, and earthy ochres that create an atmosphere of cozy warmth, alongside cool blues and shimmering silvers that evoke the refreshing coolness of the evening air. The interplay of delicate pink and lavender creates a sense of airiness and ethereal lightness, while silver highlights lend the water an enchanting depth and shimmering sparkle.
This piece was brought to life using acrylic paints on primed cardboard, employing the technique of glazing to achieve maximum transparency and depth of color.

I’m Olga Goretskaya, an artist from Ulan-Ude, Republic of Buryatia, Russia, working under the pseudonym OLya Moose. By training, I’m a musician and educator, but my love for painting has been with me since childhood. I’ve honed my skills through both in-person and online courses, exploring watercolor, oil, acrylic, graphic arts, and digital art. My experience with photography and video editing has enriched my artistic arsenal. I work in a mixed media style, blending contemporary Impressionism, Minimalism, and Abstraction, with an emphasis on vibrant colors. My inspiration comes from nature, striving to capture its beauty, joy, and harmony. My work is influenced by masters such as Picasso, Kandinsky, Renoir, Monet, and Van Gogh, as well as many Russian artists. Buryat culture and traditions, Russian decorative art, and, of course, the Siberian wilderness and Lake Baikal – all are vital sources of my inspiration.
