"Roses - The burst of pink" is a palette knife oil impressionistic flower painting made in 2020. This is an original oil painting on a 35 x 45 cm linen canvas. Painted with high quality oil paints, a brush and a palette knife creating a textured canvas (an impasto).

This artwork was inspired by the blooming garden roses and painted from nature on a plen air. I wanted to transfer the beauty of a pink flower and the freshness of its color.

Olga Blazhko (born 1988, Russia) currently works and lives in Moscow, Russia.

Olga began painting since she was 5 years old and got an art education at Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry (2016-2019). She participated in several art exhibitions and continued her career as oil impressionistic artist.

Olga chose impressionism as the main style of her art because it is through impressionism that she can best reveal herself as an artist and convey her emotions and feelings from the plot!

Olga takes her greatest inspiration from nature and travel. Most of the works are painted from nature «alla prima», which helps to convey the beauty of the moments and its transience.

The task of the impressionist artist is to capture the state of nature, light, color saturation and convey it up to the viewer.

The artist admits that the highest reward for her is when the paintings find their buyer and help breathe freshness into the interior and transfer the viewer to the world of travel and bright colours.
