Welcome to the vibrant world of “Cubana,” a stunning work of art that showcases the artist’s abstract technique using mixed media items such as watercolors, pencils, acrylics, and paper. This masterpiece depicts a Cuban woman enjoying the summer sun, and is a true feast for the senses.

The main drawing of “Cubana” is created on paper, with watercolors and pencils, and represents a beautiful Cuban woman basking in the warm sun. The drawing was then cut and glued onto a 60x70cm paper, creating a striking focal point for the piece. To add further depth and complexity, the artist used small pieces of drawings cut after they were colored, and glued them onto the main drawing like a collage. This technique gives the piece a unique texture, as the various materials and colors come together to form a harmonious whole.

The final step in creating “Cubana” was to refine the edges with colors of the sun and nature, and just fill in the remaining gaps. The artist’s choice of pink and yellow as the main colors gives the work a sense of joy and happiness, reflecting the warmth and vitality of the Cuban culture.
