Christian Parent vit et travaille à Mont St-Hilaire, Québec. Il enseigne aussi en Art visuel au cégep de St-Hyacinthe depuis 2001. La pratique de l'artiste est principalement axée sur le dessin, la peinture et l'image numérique. Impliqué dans le champ des arts, il agit comme membre de conseils d'administration de centres d'artistes et d'exposition. Àprès un baccalauréat en Arts plastiques à l'Université du Québec à Montréal, une majeure en beaux-arts à l'Université Concordia et une résidence d'artiste à Alma, Parent approfondit sa démarche artistique en s'intéressant à la notion du temps et ses différentes manifestations, ayant pour objectif de comprendre son ascendance sur l'humain. L'artiste expose en solo à travers plusieurs centre d'artistes, Galerie POPOP en collaboration avec Circa art actuel à Montréal. Il expose en collectif également dans d'autres centres au Québec. En 2017 et 2021 il participe à la Biennale du dessin au Musée des beaux-arts de Mont St-Hilaire entre autres.
