Richard Post ben 51 jaar oud geboren in IJmuiden, woonachtig in Dordrecht en ben autodidact.
Ben vroeger begonnen met schetsten tot een leeftijd van 13 jaar, toen heeft het schetsen plaats gemaakt voor het maken bvan muziek, bands en optredens. Na 36 jaar ben ik gestopt met het maken van muziek en in 2017 ben ik gaan schilderen.
Om technieken te leren ben ik begonnen met nat op nat techniek. Dit heb 6 maanden gedaan toen ben overgestapt op realistisch en foto realistisch schilderen.
Om hier de technieken van te leren heb ik online een cursus gevolgd van Michael James Smit uit Engeland, dit resulteerde in een nominatie voor schilderij van het jaar 2018 met het schilderij Ganzeneiland in de Biesbosch
Ik wordt gedreven door de schoonheid van de natuur en schilder dan ook foto's na die opgestuurd worden of die ik zelf maak.
