Biography
BIOGRAPHY
NEREUS PATRICK CHEO was born on the 16th of March 1974 at Bambui – Tubah in the North West Province of Cameroon. He is of Bafut parents and is one of the very few renowned artists of his region. He was formed as an artist at “Institute de Formation Artistique” Mbalmayo Cameroon. He works in collaboration with several art galleries where he sells his works. He is the artistic and kids programmes co-ordinator of the Cameroon Association for the Protection and Education of the Child. (CAPEC) He co-ordinates a programme Arts for Development where he initiates children in arts especially street children and orphans. He represents many international associations dealing with children’s arts and the environment. He is also a commission artist.

Do many of these themes on Masai. It is more your style than the other paintings that are generiques to most local Cameroonian artwork influenced by one single style (The "Mbio downfall of Cameroonian painting"). It is confusing because nobody know which artwork belong to who. The same style do not differenciete you from the other. Be exceptional Nepac, you have a style and a talent of your own and this is it. Mpeke!

I am greatly impressed with the work you do. I remember when you started this while we were still in St. Bede's College, Ashing-Kom, look how far you have gone! What you need now is sponsorship and you will go places. Check with your people abroad if they could help you organize expositions for you out here and you will do alot.
