In my home language it is common to say "young-green". This phrase has its own color symbolism. In very early spring, when the leaves are just beginning to sprout on the branches of trees, they have a wonderfully clean, delicate, bright, cheerful, juicy lettuce color. The color of awakening nature. So, with this color with emotional bursts of paint, I filled in the background to my young centaur, a combined image of a man and a noble horse. This image became a symbol of eternal youth for me. Admit it - nothing attracts the eye like a young body. There is so much primal strength, beauty, and energy in it, which gives a person a special animal attraction. There is something equine about a strong young body. It may have been a somewhat risky combination of man and animal, but I feel that there is much of the animal world in man. No matter how much we convince ourselves otherwise.
Thinking about the Greek myths I read as a child, I wondered where the image of the centaur came from in early European culture. When we are young, the natural, biological in us dominates. It is a beautiful period, which only the young think will last forever, will remain the brightest memory in every person.
The final touch to the painting was a blue butterfly as a symbol of the fleetingness of spring and youth.
Personally, I prefer to send oil paintings stretched on a frame, but over a long distance this can significantly increase the cost of shipping. Therefore, I suggest, at the request of the client, if the work allows (not all works can be removed from the stretcher and twisted), remove the canvas from the stretcher and send it rolled in a tube. This will save you a considerable amount of money. I can put parts of the stretcher in the same tube so that you can use them by giving them to the nearest salon for framing pictures.
