Heloisa Castro is Brazilian from Rio de Janeiro, and grew up in what is now known as “The Montmatre Carioca”, the neighborhood of Santa Teresa. There, when she was still a girl, she had her first studio. She graduated in Journalism, practicing graphic and visual arts. She has a postgraduate degree in Marketing. However, she never strayed from paint tubes, spatulas and canvases. She has won awards in salons in Brazil, Europe, etc. Traditional painting has always guided her path. Until a new materialization of art, a new painting technique, caught her attention. It was Computer Painting, an art form cataloged in the Louvre Museum, Paris and the Guggenheim Foundation, Berlin. With the pioneering work of Brazilian artists such as Celito Medeiros, Heloisa Castro then sought to delve deeper into the charms of the new art form, coming to know the colors of Michelle Behar, Artist and Professor of this modern technique, at the Federal University of Paraná/BR. The adaptation of her traditional art to the new art brought to Brazil brought more sensuality and subtlety to her new works in a world where, when we appreciate Heloisa's work, we not only contemplate Art, but the desire to touch the artist's work arises, as the image attracts our senses in an impulsive way.
