アートイメージバンクI was coming out of a period where I had gotten side tracked by all kind of very nice projects where I learned a lot, but I had neglected my own goals for quite some time and I was feeling the weight of it. Maybe that is why the ram spoke to me.
For me animal is a symbol of grit. Pursuing your goal relentlessly with strength and will. And a bit of stubbornness too: not listening to well meant advice or sweet temping possibilities that take you away from your decisions...
The truth is at that moment I needed to be Ram. Willful. Say No to a lot of things and focus on my goals. And maybe that is why this Ram looks so expressively willful. The blue colors stand for the bit of regret when you know you could have done better, and the purples for the wisdom and possibility when you go back to pursuing your goals.
This painting helped me get back on the game. Maybe it can help you too.

Monica Le Crom is a French and Colombian artist, born in Honduras and based in Amsterdam. She started painting as a child and is a self taught multidisciplinary artist, using a diverse range of traditional and mixed mediums, including acrylic paint, pastel, watercolor and illustration.
