During World War 2, all the treasures in the Louvre museum were moved to safety. The last artwork to leave the museum was the Winged Victory of Samothrace. She was moved on September 3, 1939. The Winged Victory and the Venus de Milo were kept at Château de Valençay which escaped German occupation. Having stood in front of this statue more than once, I am so happy she was spared.

I am a painter of the real and the abstract.   Working in both oils and acrylics, introspection and observation are an integral part of my process. My visual language is sensitive yet bold. I love being able to create freely without the constraints of labels defining me as either a figurative artist or an abstract artist. My paintings are my response to external and internal stimuli. 

I started painting 11 years ago and am mainly self taught. I love developing my skill set through workshops and courses and taking that technical input home to develop into something that works for me. I have been working professionally for the last five years and have exhibited in London, Germany and Kent.
